A Ferrari-class treadmill in a Chevy-dominated industry
Redefining the in-home running experience
iFIT partnered with Native to revolutionize a cornerstone of their portfolio - reimagining the in-home running experience and creating a seamless harmony between product and home. The goal: deliver a new class of performance, design, and experience for iFIT customers while setting the tone for the future of fitness innovation.
Launched to celebrate NordicTrack’s 50th anniversary, the Ultra 1 was built around iFIT’s class-leading workout ecosystem. More than just a treadmill, it’s a statement piece — elegant, intuitive, and thoughtfully integrated into the modern home.
Every detail enhances the experience: intuitive physical controls, a fully integrated body cooling system, immersive surround-sound speakers, and a 24-inch touchscreen hub mechanically decoupled from the deck for vibration-free running. Exquisite materials and precision detailing elevate the Ultra 1 beyond traditional gym equipment — it’s design as architecture.
Native assembled a multidisciplinary team - engineering, design, software, and prototyping - working collaboratively under a shared vision. Through iterative experiential prototyping, we defined scalable solutions that elevated every aspect of the product experience.
Our end-to-end involvement included rapid prototyping and refinement, mechanical part design, accelerated innovation-to-market and supported ongoing hardware and software engineering support.
Today, we continue our partnership with iFIT’s core design team to explore and shape the next generation of fitness products. Here’s to more breakthroughs, stronger workouts, and building the future of fitness - together.
“Celebrating our 50th anniversary, we aim to revolutionize the fitness experience with the Ultra 1 — merging sophisticated design, meticulous craftsmanship, and cutting-edge innovation”
